We spent a wonderful four hours in Dorchester Waterstones on Saturday October 20th, to launch the final book in the series, Shaman of Stonewylde. The staff on duty that day – Max, Darwin and Emma – looked after us, and we sold a huge number of copies. One keen fan came in to buy eight signed copies for presents for her family and friends, all of whom she’s hooked on Stonewylde! I really loved seeing so many old, familiar faces – people I’d worked with, ex-pupils I’d taught as children – and also many new ones. Several members of my own social network site turned up to help, which was lovely, and a local lad who’d become enchanted with the series after I spoke at his school on World Book Day! We gave out bookmarks and badges, as well as the Ceremony Cakes I’d baked. It was a wonderful day and lovely to be back in the same shop which first stocked Magus of Stonewylde seven years ago!
