Kit joined Steve and Debbie of Mercury Rising for one day of this great event. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious. Not only was it pouring with rain, but the wind was gusting and blowing sheets of water right across the raceground where Quest is held. Kit met several old fans who’d come to say hello, and a few new ones too, but mostly people either stayed away or huddled for shelter in the main hall. All in all a wet and cold day, made worse by the fact that Kit’s train home was cancelled, the station cafe was shut, and the waiting room full of wet and miserable people! Let’s hope for better weather next time.
