Once again, the Elf Fantasy Fair was the most wonderful event – something which has to be experienced to appreciate the enormous effort people make to parade in wildly exotic costumes. Kit and Mr B dressed as the Queen of Beltane and the Green Man, and Mr B really stole the limelight with his green tattered cloak and facepaint.
Kasteel Haar is a truly magnificent setting, with a moat, drawbridge and extensive grounds, which were filled with pavilions and stalls selling amazing goods. The weather was very hot and sunny, and Kit enjoyed giving two talks about the Green Man and how he features in Stonewylde. One of our most loyal promo-pixies, Sorcha, spent the weekend working in the Stonewylde pavilion, and it was great to see many other keen Stonewylders who all popped in to say hello. It was lovely to meet up again with Linda Ravenscroft and Josephine Wall and partners, and also dear Professor Rotherham (who is spookily similar to our own Prof. Siskin!). Many thanks to the Elf team who helped make our stay so brilliant –
Renate, Ronald and PJ.
